Gateways to Better Education, in partnership with the Alliance Defense Fund, has created an initiative to help you act on what Dr. Tackett has so poignantly stated.

The National Free to Speak Campaign helps schools become safe places for students to express their religious beliefs, as the U.S. Department of Education has affirmed three times since 1995. Unfortunately, there is still widespread ignorance regarding this particular freedom of expression. Consequently, too many Christian students are denied the freedom to express their faith at school, in homework, on the playground, and in class discussions. 

The Campaign is a joint effort of Gateways to Better Education and the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF). Gateways has created a pocket-sized pamphlet entitled Free to Speak: What the U.S. Department of Education says about public school students' religious liberties. It quotes the U.S. Department of Education statements clarifying seven important religious freedoms on public school campuses. As part of the campaign, the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) has created a detailed, six-page letter and stands ready to send it to school officials you designate.
